The Batman (2022) Review
The best non SpiderMan: Into the Spider-Verse super hero movie in 10 years
So I recently saw The Batman in theatres and it was a blast of a time and I think it is easily the best DC movie and it would be the best superhero movie in general of the past decade if Spider-Verse didn’t exist
Firstly, I wanted to say that I really apreciated the gothic and dark style this movie is going for. It’s definetly a new take on the batman movies and I definetly saw this new side of Bruce Wayne. I also really like how it focuses on this dirty and gritty murder mystery of Gotham City and its fucking dope as shit.
In terms of the technicals, this has top notch editing and cinematography, along with having honestly outsanding lighting to recreate the gloomy Gotham aswell. Additionally the sound design and score fucks so hard and it’s so immersive.
I also think that the directing and writing is also super sharp and well done, I’m exited to see what else Matt Reves has done. I found the murder mystery story being told in the movie to be super cool and interesting and I liked the way the characters move to place to place, like the underground party and CatWoman’s house. The modern intergration with the technology was also done really well
Lastly, I think that every perfomance was outstanding, including Robert Pattinson as the batman. His perfomance definetly brought something new to the table and I was able to see this new side of Bruce Wayne I have never seen in the other batman movies. Paul Dano is a perfectly creepy villain and I loved every scene he was in.
Overall, a phenomenal superhero movie and one you should check out
Paul dano yayyyyyyyy
